About
Equinoccio could not have a more attractive or convenient location: La Mitad del Mundo, a popular tourist attraction for locals and foreigners alike. Its location allows you to appreciate the natural landscape of the surrounding mountains. The whole place, from the entrance to the bar, has a rustic, colonial style, without being a 'chingana' (name for a generic small town restaurant). The place looks like a colonial house with typical objects and materials. Although international cuisine is also on the menu at Equinoccio, the house specialties are some of the most exquisite recipes of local gastronomy. When you are looking at the beautiful menu made in leather and wood, let your imagination fly and feel your mouth water with all the possible options: 'llapingachos', the exotic Cuy asado or a 'fritada'(pork, boiled corn, potatoes and fried plantain). If you like, you can order something lighter like Empanadas de morocho to be accompanied by any kind of drink.
