Since 2003, GlobalFest has been a world-class fireworks and multi-cultural celebration. It took many years for the organizers of this event to find a suitable location for this type of event, but Elliston Park is the perfect spot. The hill beside the lake can hold tens of thousands of visitors at one time, and the lake makes a great, safe stage from which to set off pyrotechnic displays. Elliston Park is one of Calgary's largest public parks, and it is a year-round draw for family fun.
