Elephant Head (aka Elephant Rock) is the biggest pinnacle in the Similan Island chain. It is located about 1.5 km south of Koh Similan Island .There are three large boulders that emerge above water, with the biggest one located in the west. One of the rocks could be said to resemble an elephant. At this site submerged boulders are piled up, forming walls and swim-throughs that are covered with assorted soft corals and seafans. The dive site at the Similan Islands is sourrounded by sand at a maximum depth of 35-40 meters.
