El Xampanyet is a tapas bar situated in the Moncada street, only across the street from the Picasso Museum in the Born district. It's a small bar, friendly and quite crowded, maintains the same essence of neighborhood bar since its opening in 1929. It is an excellent choice to eat tapas and taste the typical "pa amb tomàquet" (bread with tomato and olive oil) with Iberian cured meats like "pernil" (ham), "xoriço" (sausage), llangonissa ( :) dont know how to translate this one).
