If ever you want to escape the hussle and bussle of life in Cairo then head for the Red Sea resort of El Sukhna. It is about an hour and a half by car, on a good day! Here you will find all the usual activities and beaches suitable for children and adults alike. If you prefer you can hire a boat and spend time relaxing and fishing, what ever you want to do,it is a peaceful area, no where near as busy as other Red sea resorts further south or in Sinai. If a bit of luxury is your choice then there are most of the big hotel chains eg Marriot,where for a small charge you can use all the hotels facilities and restaurants as a day visitor. However you decide to spend your time you will find enough here to keep you relaxed and occupied for the day at least before returning to Cairo.
