Egmore Wesley Church was inaugurated. Rev. J.Cooling opened the door and Rev. William H. Findlay, General Secretary of the Wesleyan Mission, gave the message. Later, a large public meeting was chaired by Mr. William E. Hoare. A collection was taken for construction of the church in Perambur, which was also built in 1905. Thirty members from the Broadway church formed the core of the new congregation, and were soon joined by many others.
