East Coast Park. The largest park in Singapore, it is a highly popular hangout for couples, groups of friends and families. The water is on the murky side, but the (imported) white sand, palm trees, and rollerbladers zooming past on the promenade make up for it. Mana Mana and Water-Venture rent watersports gear (kayak $5/hr, windsurfing, etc), while Ski 360 offers cable-towed wakeboarding (from $32/hr). Bicycle rental is available. East Coast Park is a great place to spend an afternoon or so. There are plenty of activities and food for everyone. For adults, you can spend an afternoon learning to rollerblade from professional instructors at established inline skating schools like ['Inline Fitness'] For children, you can send them for summer skate camps at skate schools like Skate With Us Camping, fishing and barbeques allowed at selected part of the parks. There are other interesting things to do like prawning at over at Carpark C3 near Burger King. People watch or take a stroll down to Bedok Jetty or shoot the breeze with your buddies over a nice cold beer at Harrys. For travellers who love extreme sports, remember to check out the huge extreme skatepark at F1 carpark. You can walk over to East Coast Food Lagoon Centre for a nice plate of satay or yummy stingray after all that workout!
