About
Doonbeg River is one of the better salmon and sea trout rivers in County Clare. The early running seatrout can range from 2 to 5 lbs and large numbers of finnock enter the stream from July. Expect to meet a grilse anywhere but the best of the sea trout fishing is in the middle to upper reaches, from Clooncullin up to Derrycrossaun Bridge, Goulbourne Bridge and up as far as Ballyduneen. Fishing is from 1st March until 30th September.
