Discovering nature at RSPB Conwy

Conwy Nature Reserve, Llandudno Junction, Conwy, LL31 9XZ, Wales

About

The Conwy reserve was created by the RSPB after the opening of the Conwy tunnel. Shallow pools next to the estuary provide ideal feeding and roosting places for ducks and wading birds. At the Coffee Shop, hot and cold drinks, light lunches and a delicious range of locally-made cakes are available, enjoyed with great views of Snowdonia. The shop has a wide range of souvenirs, as well as everything you might need to help wildlife when you get home. There is a network of nature trails from the centre, leading you to watchpoints with views over the lagoons, estuary and Conwy Castle. The wildlife changes throughout the year, with birds from Africa in spring and summer, from the Arctic and Russia in winter. Get close to bees, butterflies, dragonflies and plants through the summer, and if you join one of our events, you'll discover even more. Opening times: Visitor Centre/gift shop/car park open 9.30 am - 5 pm daily. Waterside Coffee shop: 10 am - 4.30 pm (4 pm November-March) Trails open outside these hours, but parking is limited outside the gates
