Dighalipukhuri

Dighalipukhuri is a rectangular man-made pond in Guwahati, about half a mile long. According to legend, the pond was created by Bhagadatta by digging a canal from the Brahmaputra river. In historical times, it was used by the Ahoms as a naval yard.
