Dhobi Ghat Ground is a historical place adjacent to GC University, Faisalabad. In 1943, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah came to Faisalabad (Lyallpur) and addressed a gathering of over 2 million in Dhobi Ghat Grounds. On 3 March 1947, when the creation of Pakistan was approved, the Muslims of Faisalabad (Lyallpur) held special prayers and distributed sweets and food among the poor.
