A dense vegetation of Syzygium cumini (Jambul) locally known as Dhanvah associated with the Dhadimagi Kilhi. Wood from the trees is durable in water and resistant to termites. It was used for boat building and for construction purposes in the past. Not only the islanders benefitted from it, but was also exported to the neighbouring atolls. This plant variety is nearly extinct elsewhere in the Maldives.
