Dehing Patkai is an wildlife sanctuary with tropical wet evergreen rain forests. Located in Dibrugarh and Tinsukia district of Assam, the Dehing Patkai Wildlife Sanctuary covers an area of 111.19 square kms. It is a home of various rare wildlife species such as Clouded leopard, Hoolock gibbon, Tiger, Rhesus macaque, Pig-tailed macaque etc. Dehing Patkai Wildlife Sanctuary is also rich in rare wild orchids and bird species. The Sanctuary is a part of the Dehing-Patkai Elephant Reserve. The World War II cemeteries and famous Stillwell Road is nearby to the sanctuary. The best time to visit Dehing Patkai is during September to March.
