Chef Dai spent several years in Germany perfecting his kitchen technique. Lucky for Shanghai, he decided to return to China and open shop. The tiny courtyard restaurant may be hard to find, but your search is rewarded with authentic, solid German comfort food, with many homemade elements to boot. As expected, portions are large, but they are also flavorful, with details such as real sauerkraut and mustard. The Dai Salad is a light meal in itself, full of flavorful ingredients tossed with citrus vinaigrette.
