Ardmore is situated in West Waterford a few minutes off the main Cork-Waterford Road (N25). The unique round tower overlooks the beautiful sandy beaches and quiet picturesque village. It has spectacular clifftops that afford wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, Comeragh mountanis, bird colonies, wildlife and ocean (where dolphins & whales can be sighted). It is the oldest Christian settlement in Ireland. St Declan lived in the region 350 - 450AD and christianised this area before the coming of St Patrick. His feast day 24th July is celebrated with a wonderful festival.
