A state park that provides a rare wild Florida experience with nearly untouched natural areas comprised of scrub, scrubby flatwoods, lakefront, bay-heads and spring-fed tannic creeks. Many rare, indigenous species on site, a botany delight of listed and protected plant species. Southern bald eagles, Florida scrub jays, gopher tortoises seen everyday. Trails are remote, quiet and peaceful. Hikers can hike three miles to see bald eagles, Florida scrub-jays, Florida scrub lizards and gopher tortoises.
