Cricket is the national game of Barbados, and Barbados has produced some of the greatest cricketers in the world. This museum provides an insight into the players past and present, including Sir Garfield Sobers, national hero of Barbados. The Portrait Room displays photos and facts on Barbadian cricketers, the Heritage Room follows the the history of the game in Barbados, and the Icon Room focuses on cricket memorabilia. See the bats that they used, and the caps, jerseys and gloves that they wore. Many items have been autographed by the players. A separate room is dedicated to local media personalities who cover cricket. A souvenir shop offers cricket gear and other souvenirs. The museum is located less than five minutes from world-renowned cricket ground, Kensington Oval. -Marsilyn Browne
