The 7th Cork Tango Festival, hosted by the Cork Argentinian Tango Society, is a festival of Argentine tango dancing with dance workshops, music and performances from the top dance couples in the world. The festival events take place in Cork City with The Montenotte Hotel being the main hub for the event. It will be a weekend of tango dancing, workshops, performances and music as well as a social gathering of tango dancers from all over the world! Tango workshops will be given by the visiting teachers aimed at all levels of dancers. This year, there will also be a series of free workshops aimed at absolute beginners. No partner necessary. A free beginners' workshops and free outdoor events will take place in the City Centre on Saturday.Four professional tango dance couples will make an appearance at the festival, including Ruben and Sabrina Veliz from Argentina (www.sabrinayruben.com.ar), who are one of the top Tango couples in the world.
