About

Cooley Lodge is a beautifully converted, 19th-century stone building set in a courtyard where the foothills of the Carlingford Mountains run down to Dundalk Bay. Located on the Cooley Peninsula in County Louth, the lodge is an ideal accommodation for family parties, groups or even small conferences, as it can comfortably sleep up to 12 people. Cooley Lodge comprises four bedrooms, three of which are ensuite. Two of the rooms open up onto balconies and the other two open to enclosed, south-facing patios. Guests can also take in spectacular mountain views from the conservatory, terrace and spacious drawing room. The property includes a well-appointed kitchen and dining space where guests can enjoy their meals. There is an electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, washer, dryer and dishwasher. Additionally, the lodge has oil-fired central heating, ample parking and a TV in all rooms. The Cooley Peninsula is an area of outstanding beauty, making it a perfect place to escape and relax. Visitors can follow the train trail over the Slieve Foy down into medieval Carlingford, enjoying views over Dundalk Bay and down the coast to Ireland’s Eye. They can walk the sandy beache (1km away) and explore the restaurants of Carlingford. Local amenities include an adventure centre, riding stables, and golf and sailing clubs.
