For those who are interested in the pre-Colombian culture of Guatemala, las ruinas de Zaculeu are an interesting place to visit. There is a museum on site with highland Maya artifacts. Site is about two miles from downtown Huehue. Lodging, transportationin and to the western highlands is very inexpensive. Huehuetecos are friendly, warm and helpful. Enjoy it. you may never want to leave.
