City Palace, Alwar gives you a glimpse of the ornate life style of the Maharajas. One of the most famous artifacts found here consist of a cup cut out of a single piece of raw emerald whose value is priceless. A part of the complex houses the museum where a rich part of it's history has been preserved. In the gilded Durbar Hall at the City Palace there is a raised platform upon which rests a gold and velvet throne.
