About

Located on Port Elizabeth's Market Square, the historic center of the city, City Hall is a beautiful example of colonial architecture. Built between 1858 and 1862, the building's iconic clock tower was added in 1883. Today, City Hall is home to the Council Chamber and offices, a concert hall, and a lecture hall. The building was declared a national monument in 1973.
