The Christmas concert at the Royal Concertgebouw is an annual tradition and this year it will draw to a close the grand venue and its Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra’s 125th jubilee celebrations. Led by Andris Nelsons the orchestra will revisit two compositional greats from their history: Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss.Grand performanceThe concert features Wagner’s Siegfried-Idyll and excerpts from the opera Tannhäuser, and Strauss’s tone poem ‘Also sprach Zarathustra’.
