Probably one of the top 3 best preserved synagogues from the Byzantine/Talmudic (3/4th century CE/AD) periods to have survived in Israel. It has some very unique features including an original Aramaic inscription on the "Seat of Moses" which mentions a contributor to the community with the last name Yudin (that's my name)! It has a couple of strange graven images including a medusa head, but the most incredible thing about this place is that it ios mention in the Gospels as one of the places Jesus of Nazareth visited during his ministry. Make sure to check out the really cool olive press .
