Chitwan national park is the first national park of nepal, established in 1973 a.d. and granted the status of world heritage site on 1984.it covers the area of 932 km2. in the north and west the area is protected by Rapti river from the Humansettlement. Since the end of 19th century the heart of jungle had been used as the hunting area for the ruling class of nepal.
