An extension of the Melghat Tiger Reserve in the south-east direction, Chikhaldara Wildlife Sanctuary or Wan Wildlife Sanctuary, as it is widely known, has a rich bio-diversity of Flora and Fauna. The sanctuary is full of deciduous forests and houses panthers, wild bear and sambar. Chilka Lake in the Sanctuary is a very beautiful picnic spot.
