About
The oldest metal printed book in the world was the "Jikji" by Monk Baekun Hwasang from the temple Heungdeoksa in 1377, done 78 years before the Gutenberg Bible. Although the actual book is in the National Library of France (well, the 38 pages left), this museum shows the evolution of printing in Korea with models of the printing process from wooden type to movable metal printing developed during the Goryeo Dynasty. Although it's a small museum, the displays are well done, with good English signage. The museum is located at the former Heungdeoksa site.
