Château de Fontblanche
Route de Carnoux
About
This twenty acre vineyard helped reestablish one of the oldest white wines in France. With cliffs looming in the distance, the sea serves as a backdrop for the grape fields, which are planted in calcareous ground, giving character and aroma to this sharp white wine. The wine itself includes tastes of musk, lime, and fresh fruit that explode in mouth, in a delicate but marked way. Located several kilometers east of Marseille, a visit to the Château de Fontblanche is worth the detour. The senses are sure to be stimulated by the ocean spray, country smells, panoramic vistas, and most of all, the pleasure of tasting the wine. By appointment only. From EUR8 by bottle, from the cellar.
