A soul food kitchen in the heart of East Atlanta Village, Chazz serves up fried chicken, pork ribs, and a sumptuous mac-and-cheese. The fried chicken is offered in both a regular and buttermilk batter. Blues and jazz playing in the background sets the scene perfectly in this small eatery. Chazz is named after the owner's son, and pictures of the father/son pair grace the walls. The owner is more than just a face in a picture, though: he's usually on hand, working his way through the dining area to say hello—and, of course, to ask you what you think of your meal. - Beth Dolgner
