About Chatra

Chatra is headquarters of Chatra district in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Chatra district is one of the twenty four districts of Jharkhand state, India, and Chatra is the administrative headquarters of this district. The district of Chatra, gateway of Jharkhand is abundant in scenic picnic spots and rich in fountains, water falls and in flora & fauna. Some of the major tourists spots of Chatra: Gua is a small census town in the district, which is famous for a waterfall, situated approximately 6 km from Chatra town, while travelling towards Maloodah. Gogri is a small waterfall in the region, which can be reached through a steep stream flowing nearby. Duari is also called as Balbal Duari and is located on the main Gidhaur Katkam Sandi Road. Khaya Banaroo is an ideal picnic spot, which is about 10 km south west of Chatra. Chatra is famous for archeological and historical views.
