The Chandreshekhar Azad Memorial also referred to as Shahid Smarak is a monument in Orchha that commemorates the martyrdom of freedom fighter Chandrashekhar Azad, situated in the Tikamgarh District of Orchha. Chandrashekhar Azad was a revolutionary hero in Indian Independence and he spent his days of exile from years of 1926 to 1927 at this place itself. In 1984, his full-sized bronze statue was inaugurated by the Prime Minister at this memorial. The place also displays scenes from the time of his struggle and fight during the independence, to arouse the patriotic feelings of visitors.
