Certosa di San Martino A Carthusian monastery at the top of a hill near the city centre. It houses the Museum of City History. The Certosa di San Martino was built starting since 1325 according to the model of the Carthusian foundations.Consecrated in 1368, was dedicated to St. Martin, St. Bruno, the Virgin Mary and all the Saints. The primitive 'as' Gothic due to the architect and the Sienese sculptor Tino di Camaino suffers the first changes during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, when they start the expansion work by the architect Giovanni Antonio Tuscan Dosio.
