Cenote X Batun

This cenote is located 49 km from the city of Merida, on the Merida-Muna highway. X'Batun is an open type cenote, whose waters flow down a natural slope. It is approximately 20 meters deep. Enjoy the cool turquoise water and the marine life that lives there. Activities within the cave are: diving, swimming and snorkeling. It is quite deep, so it is recommended that you bring lifejackets for children and snorkeling gear for the caverns. The main attraction is the area´s diverse vegetation, both on the surface and inside the X'batún Cenote, which is one of the few cenotes that has aquatic vegetation. There is a large shallow area where you can go snorkeling. There are palapa huts at the entrance with tables and changing rooms.
