Tucked away in the quieter southern part of Sanur, the Cat and Fiddle is nevertheless a vibrant watering hole that always seems to be busy night and day. As its name suggests, it has an authentic English pub ambience fitted out in rustic wood paneling and olde-worlde memorabilia. Spacious and open-fronted, it is dominated by a central stage which hosts nightly live music encompassing rock covers, jazz, and Irish folk songs. The Cat and Fiddle is noted for its hearty breakfasts and classic English roast dinners, and there is the rare treat of cold Guinness on tap. Elsewhere on the menu is pretty much mainstream fare with burgers, pizza and pasta alongside a handful of Indonesian favorites. - Ray Montgomery
