Casa de la Era

La Cañada Cuisines: European, Spanish

About

This little discovery outside Marbella is in a rustic hacienda-like house, with internal patios outfitted in plants, trees, and flowers. Hanging hams and ceramics only add to the old-fashioned look. On a full night the place is a whirl of color and activity, and the charming waiters proudly point out the chef's specialties, some of the best of which include noodles with angler fish and baby clams, baby goat from the mountains above Málaga, and savory codfish cooked in a spicy fresh tomato sauce. The flavor of a perfectly grilled and tender veal cutlet is enlivened with rosemary, bay leaf, zesty pepper, garlic, and onion. For beefeaters, the sirloin a la ibérica comes with a tangy sauce made of fresh bay leaf and cloves. More enjoyable still, the restaurant offers a beautiful terrace for enjoying your meal.
