The word "BIBLE" is pre-fixed to PRESBYTERIAN to denote that our Church is a Bible-believing and Bible-honouring Church. It first came to be used in America because of the great fundamentalist-modernist controversy. When the Presbyterian Church of USA was infiltrated by liberals and modernists, many Conservative Presbyterians left to form their own denominations. Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) was formed and Westminster Theological Seminary was founded. But there arose internal differences among the leaders.
