Calala Cottage is a historic cottage built in 1875 by Phillip Gidley King, Superintendant of Peel River Land and Minerals Co. as part of the Australian Agricultural Company Co and now exhibiting Tamworth and Region's history. Also includes the oldest standing building in Tamworth, an original slab hut, used by the AA Company shepherds, a one-teacher schoolhouse, blacksmith's shop and various displays.
