This busy cafe is found on Amagertorv square, and its very central location in the middle of walking street Strøget make it the spot for meeting people, particularly in the summer, when the cafe's chairs and tables sprawl out into the square. Having a conversation in this art deco-styled cafe can be hard, however, as it does get incredibly crowded and very noisy, and even with seating on two floors for 200 people, it can be hard to find a table (the cafe does not take reservations). Norden serves typical cafe fare, a little expensive but of a high standard; and though hot meals and sandwiches are available, Cafe Norden is best known for its coffee and cakes.
