About
For the money, this German-operated restaurant facing the harbor serves some of the best food in town. That's especially true of its awesome toasted-sesame-seed salad dressing. The house special is chicken schnitzel-style, but the menu ranges all over the world, from British fish and chips to Fijian palusami, a sweet combination of vegetables and meat or fish steamed with coconut milk in banana leaves. Spicy Indian-style curry prawns with almond rice will excite your taste buds. Vegetarians will have several choices here, including veggie pasta with a spicy cheese and curry sauce. Wednesday is lovo night, featuring a buffet of earth-oven Fijian foods for F$17 (US$11/£5.70) per person. You can get an espresso or latte to accompany breakfast or to recharge later in the day.
