Buddha Museum

Buddha Museum is one of the best worth seeing places in Kushinagar. It was built by State Government in the Buddhist architectural feel and atmosphere in 1992-93. Buddha Museum is the perfect architecture work that was built by a Japanese team.It contains the remains which were found from the excavation of the site at Kushinagar. It lies near the Indo Japan and Sri Lankan Buddhist Center.It has a vast range of collection of 248 precious antiques related to coins such as statues, carved panels, artifacts excavated of Stupas and monasteries. The center of attraction of the museum is the statue of Lord Buddha in a posture of meditation which represents the importance of the Gandhara School of Arts.
