About
Sean has an unrivalled knowledge of the history and archaeology of the Sperrins as he was born and reared in Broughderg, Co. Tyrone with nearby famous sites including Beaghmore Stone Circles and Dun Ruadh. Indeed the variety and density of archaeological sites in this locality indicates this to be one of the longest inhabited areas in Ireland. Sean also has an extensive knowledge of the progression of human history in the North of Ireland through the Clan times from the 8th Century to the flight of the Earls followed by the Plantation, Penal times and Great Famine. He has excellent knowledge of Derry City from its earliest foundation, through the Siege up to the present day. He is also an expert in the genealogy of the Sperrins. Sean has an Advanced national Diploma in Tour Guiding, All Ireland Certificate awarded by the Further Education Training and Awards Council and is a member of The Association of Approved Tourist Guides of Ireland and the Millennium Awards Fellowship. Please contact for prices.
