A mere half-hour drive from Johannesburg, Brookwood Estate Trout Farm is located in the Cradle of Human Kind world heritage site. There are no problems catching trout as the dams are stocked regularly. Any tackle and all types of bait are allowed tackles can be bought or hired, while there is plenty of bait for sale. An ideal area for a picnic, smoked trout and pâté are available at the kiosk. The farm also boasts a separate area for fly-fishing.
