Bradkeel Cottage occupies a half-acre site with excellent views of the surrounding mountains and farmland. A stream running off the nearby mountain borders the property. If you are looking for peace and quiet, away from traffic noise, Bradkeel Cottage is the place for you. The cottage has a large en-suite master bedroom with king sized bed and a dressing area. There is a further twin bedded room, and a single room. The comfortable lounge has a feature stone fireplace with a wood burning stove. Logs are supplied. The sunroom adjoining the lounge has a large viewing window that looks out across the local countryside. It contains an wide-ranging library and a telephone is provided for guests to use. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped.The adjoining dining area has double French doors, opening onto the patio, with dramatic views of the countryside. We provide a welcome hamper of groceries and toiletries, which includes fresh bread, milk, butter, wine, breakfast cereal, tea, ground coffee, a choice of preserves, shower gel and toothpaste. A cot with bedding, highchair, buggy, changing mat and selection of baby toys can be supplied on request.Board games for all ages, and a large “Brio” train set and doll’s house are provided, along with a collection of children’s books. The Ulster Way runs near to the cottage. The Glenelly Valley itself is one of the most picturesque areas in Northern Ireland. The house is well equipped with local maps of the area. The area is rich in natural flora and fauna and the grounds of the cottage have been sown with native wildflowers and grasses. Ravens, buzzards and herons are regular visitors to the area around Bradkeel Cottage, along with seasonal migrating birds. Our library has books that help identify the rich natural flora and fauna of the area.
