This property is a newly renovated and refurbished two bedroom house located on a quiet country road, 2 miles from the N4 motorway. The house comprises of two upstairs bedrooms, each with an ensuite. Downstairs there is a kitchen/living room, utility room and a toilet. The facilities include a washing machine, tumble dryer, central heating, cot if required, free towels and bed linen. There is ample car parking space. There is a 6- seater bench outside and the area is wheelchair friendly.The house is 2 miles from the village of Ruskey, which has a good supermarket including a butcher shop and an ATM facility. There are also 4 pubs in the village which have live music on certain nights.For sports enthusiasts there are numerous lakes and rivers in the vicinity including the river Shannon which flows through the village of Ruskey suitable for all types of fishing. The Shannon River Adventure Centre is located nearby providing various types of outdoor sports including Kayaking, Canoeing, Raft Building, Archery, Wind Surfing, an Assault Course, Camp Craft and River Trips.Dromod village is located 3 miles to the south and boasts of 3 great restaurants, 2 pubs, grocery shops,Drycleaning service and railway station as well as a bus service.Lough Rynn Castle and Gardens are only 5 miles away which boast a fine restaurant and beautiful walks.The lively towns of Carrick-on-Shannon 17 kms to the north and Longford 15 kms to the south are well worth a visit. Both of them have Tourist offices, plenty of shops, good pubs providing modern and traditional music sessions, fine restaurants, cafes and Sports complexes including indoor swimming pools and children’s play areas. They both have very fine golf courses a few kms outside the towns. For those who are interested in historical matters, there is an Ogham stone to found inside the gate of the local graveyard which also has the well preserved ruins of St. Maurice’s monastery dating back to the 15th century. Lough Rynn Castle , 5 miles away was the home of the Clements family ,one of whom who resided there being the infamous Lord Leitrim. He was one of the most tyrannical and feared landlord of his time in Ireland. The Cavan and Leitrim Railway Museum is to be found in Dromod and it is possible to travel on one of the old trains on the old narrow gauge line for a short distance.As you can see, a visitor to our area would be spoiled for choice and certainly would never be bored.
