It is one of the tallest single-span concrete bridges in the world and one of the most photographed bridges along the Pacific Coast due to its aesthetic design and location. The bridge is 714 feet long, with 45% of the roadbed above the arch, 24 feet wide, over 280 feet high and has a main span of 320 feet. The bridge was designed to support more than six times its intended load.
