About
Bhuleshwar Temple, built in the 13th century, dates back to the era of the Pandavas. Owing to its location in the thick forest, the temple has got its name. The Marathi word 'Ban' meaning 'forest' is the root of its name. Holy shrine of Lord Shiva, the temple contains five Shiva Lingams in its sanctum. Owing to their being hidden in a trench, these Shiva Lingams can be seen in light. In the temple are also housed idols of Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Vishnu and Lord Mahadev.
