Down a quiet soi off the south end of Chaweng lies one of the island's most popular restaurants. You'll most likely be greeted at the door by Jeffrey Lord, owner, proprietor, and witty raconteur. The menu is divided into "Eats Big" and "Eats Small," and runs the gamut from the evocatively named "Buddha Jumped Over the Wall" (an ostrich steak, not the famous Chinese vegetarian taro dish of the same name), to clam chowder with green curry. Come with friends, order a spread of tapas choices, select from among their fine wines, and enjoy a great evening.
