About

Belvedere House and The Bay Tree Restaurant is centrally located in the Medieval village of Carlingford County Louth. Both are a chef owned family business and our passion is reflected in our fine cuisine and high quality accommodation.Winner of the Best Restaurant in County Louth in the Irish Restaurant Awards 2012.Your host Conor Woods spent many years abroad working and travelling. He trained with Micheal Deane and Raymond McArdle and gained experience in many restaurants abroad. In 2007 he realised his dream of opening his own restaurant in Carlingford. In the restaurant, the emphasis is on fresh local fish and simple modern food at great prices using only the best ingredients and produce all our breads, stocks, sauces, ice creams and sorbets ourselves. As a bed and breakfast we are based in the very centre of Carlingford with all the local sights on our doorstep. All the seven rooms are ensuite, themed after the Táin Bo Culaigne (The Cattle Raid of Cooley), with individually designed antique pine furniture that fit in with the historic surroundings but none the less provide clean, modern comfort. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, power shower, Wi-Fi and flat screen television. Breakfast is downstairs in the Bay Tree restaurant. As a guest you have access to the leisure facilities in the Four Seasons Hotel nearby.
