The Beşiktaş Kültür Merkezi is a cultural center that produces a wide variety of fine arts events as well as concerts by contemporary artists. The center was founded in 1994 by two of the prominent Turkish artists: Yilmaz Erdogan and Necati Akpinar. Immediately after its foundation Otogargara was staged with an impeccable premier and was staged repeatedly for 464 times more to an audience bigger than 500.000. The foundation developed in time and expanded into production of movies and tv shows. Today, the organization also hosts an educational program for talented young people.
