Junaković spa, even thought it has been built in 1983 is one of the most valued spas in Serbia, and in it's almost thirty years long lifetime it has succeeded in becoming the most favorable destination for people who live near it and for tourists from other near-by countries. The name of the spa derives from the word hero (Serbian: junak), which is used in order to remind people of the brave men who lived in the area of the spa, and defended their house from both attacks of the Turks and the Germans. With low prices and a very big complex of swimming pools, a roller coaster, a bowling hall and tennis courts the Junaković spa becomes one of the most favorable places to go to near Sombor.
